Stellora Crystal Night Light

Stellora is a small block of clear acrylic with a three dimensional shape etched inside it, lit from the base so the etching glows while the block around it stays almost invisible. The effect is that the shape appears to float in mid air. It works as a night light, a desk ornament, or the low light you leave on in a hallway overnight.

Touch the base to cycle through brightness levels, or hold to dim smoothly. The light is warm and low by default, which is the right register for a bedroom, and it can be pushed brighter when you want it to register as decoration rather than atmosphere. A USB charge lasts through several nights of continuous low use, so it does not need to live beside an outlet.

Five etched forms are available: a ball, a star, a square, a moon and a track. Each throws the same soft glow but reads differently on a shelf, so they can be mixed without looking like a set. The acrylic scratches more easily than glass, so wipe it with a soft dry cloth rather than anything abrasive, and keep it away from direct heat. Charge it fully before first use so the battery calibrates properly and holds its run time.
