A flush mount ceiling light is what you fit when a room has neither the height nor the need for a pendant. This one avoids the usual problem with the format, which is that most flush fittings look like a smoke detector with ambitions. A wooden rim around a diffusing panel gives it a warmth and a visible edge that plain plastic discs never have.

The diffuser spreads the LED output evenly across the whole face, so the fitting produces general room light with no visible hotspot and no hard shadow beneath it. That makes it a genuine main light for a bedroom, a hallway, a landing or a small kitchen, rather than a supplementary fitting you have to prop up with lamps.

Three diameters cover most rooms, from 23 cm for a hallway or a small bathroom, through 30 cm for a bedroom, up to 40 cm for a living space or a kitchen. Six rim colours are available and each comes in warm, neutral or cold white, so the light temperature can be matched to the room rather than accepted as given. Warm suits bedrooms and living rooms, neutral suits hallways, and cold suits kitchens and workspaces. Professional installation is required.

How To Set Up

Turn off power at the breaker

Before starting, switch off power to the existing fixture at the breaker box for a safe installation.

Mount to the junction box

Attach the fixture bracket to your ceiling junction box following standard flush mount wiring steps.

Secure the wooden rim

Fit the wooden rim and diffusing panel into place until it sits flush against the ceiling.

Dust the panel occasionally

Wipe the rim and panel with a soft, dry cloth every so often to keep the light output bright and even.
