Three shades hang from a shared crystal and metal frame, close enough to the ceiling to work in a standard room but with enough drop to read as a proper fitting rather than a flush disc. It is the semi flush format, which exists precisely for rooms that want the presence of a chandelier without the height to hang one.

The crystal elements are set between the arms rather than dripping below them, which keeps the outline tight and stops the fitting looking dated. Each of the three lights takes a standard bulb, so the total output can be set by bulb choice rather than being fixed. Three lower wattage warm bulbs generally read better here than one bright one.

Two finishes are available. Gold is the warmer of the two and reads as classic, working well in a hallway, a dining room or a bedroom with warm tones. Black is more graphic and modern, and it holds up better against cooler paint and darker floors. Both use E27 fittings. Fit it to a ceiling point rated for the full weight of the frame and crystal, and have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician. Matching all three bulbs for colour temperature matters more with a three light fitting than with any single one.

Mount the frame to the ceiling

Secure the metal frame to your ceiling junction box, supporting its weight until it is fully fastened.

Attach the shades

Fit each of the three shades into place on the frame, checking that all three sit level.

Clean crystal and metal gently

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and use a barely damp cloth on the crystal for a deeper clean, drying immediately after.
