Glowora is a cordless lamp, and that single fact changes where a lamp can go. Without a plug to find, it moves from a bedside table to a dinner table to a windowsill to a balcony rail over the course of an evening. The body is a simple rounded form with no visible switch, so it reads as an object rather than a piece of equipment.

Touch the top to turn it on, hold to dim. The range runs from a low candle level glow through to a working brightness, and the colour can be shifted across the warm to cool range depending on whether you want atmosphere or usable light. A full charge over USB carries it through several evenings of low level use, and the base stays cool to the touch throughout.

Six body colours are available, from restrained black and grey through to orange, red and brown. Buying two and treating them as a pair is worth considering, since a matched set placed at opposite ends of a room does more for the mood than a single lamp ever will. Charge indoors and keep the port dry. Give the battery a full top-up before storing the lamp unused for any length of time, which protects its long term capacity.
