Non-Slip Entry Door Mat

The doormat is the hardest working textile in the house and usually the ugliest. This one is built to do the job without looking like a builder left it behind. The dense low pile traps grit and moisture from shoes before it reaches your floors, and the muted colourway sits quietly against wood, tile or stone rather than shouting from the hallway.

Underneath, a full rubber backing grips the floor so the mat stays where you put it instead of skidding forward every time someone comes through the door. The fibres are cut short enough that dirt lifts out with a shake or a vacuum, and the whole mat can go through a cool machine wash when a season of wet boots catches up with it.

Two sizes cover the usual placements. The smaller fits a standard front door or a back entrance, while the larger runs across double doors or sits inside a hallway as a landing strip. Four colours are available so it can either disappear into the scheme or add a deliberate note. Allow the mat to dry fully before laying it back down on wood floors. Shake it out weekly and the deep clean it needs will come around far less often than you expect.
